What is Pronuben Baby?
Pronuben Baby is a European infant nutrition brand founded in 2011 by Productos y Nutrientes para Bebés, S.L. (Las Rozas de Madrid, Spain). It develops infant formula, follow-on formula, growing-up milk, special formulas and baby food for importers and distributors, with one exclusive partner per country.
Which brands does the company own?
Pronuben Baby®, Lactonic® and Lactolac®. Lactonic® and Lactolac® are made exclusively by Pronuben Baby and are present especially in Saudi Arabia through Dallah Pharma.
In which regions are your products present?
Our brands are present across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. You can see our partner markets on the Export and partners page.
Where can I meet the Pronuben Baby team?
We exhibit at the sector’s leading international trade fairs, including SIAL, Gulfood and THAIFEX. You can also contact us to arrange a meeting.
Distribution
How does the exclusive distribution model work?
We work with one exclusive importer per country, with a long-term relationship. Before the first shipment we adapt composition, packaging, labelling, language and regulatory documentation to the legislation of the destination market.
Who can become a Pronuben Baby distributor?

Do you adapt the formula and the label to my country?
Yes. We carry out a rigorous study of the destination market and its regulation, adapt the technical composition to local legislation and adapt the product design, labelling and language to the requirements and preferences of the local market.
Do you support partners with product registration?
Yes. Our Global Project Development team supports every partner from product registration to launch and beyond, and provides the regulatory documentation adapted to the destination market.
Do you sell directly to consumers?
No. Pronuben Baby is a business-to-business brand: our products reach families through our exclusive partner in each country.
Products
Which products are in the Pronuben Baby range?
Regular formulas in three stages — ADVANCE, PREMIUM and PREMIUM PLUS (infant formula 0–6 months, follow-on formula 6–12 months and growing-up formula 1–3 years) — and special formulas for 0–12 months. The portfolio also includes purees and pouches.
What is the difference between ADVANCE, PREMIUM and PREMIUM PLUS?
ADVANCE provides the balance of proteins, carbohydrates and fats with nucleotides, vitamins, minerals, L-carnitine and taurine. PREMIUM adds ARA, DHA and GOS/FOS prebiotics. PREMIUM PLUS, the top of the range, adds HMOs (2’FL and 3’FL) and, in stages 2 and 3, specific probiotics.
Which HMOs and probiotics does PREMIUM PLUS contain?
PREMIUM PLUS contains the HMOs 2’FL and 3’FL. Stages 2 and 3 also contain the probiotics Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis and Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus.
Which special formulas do you offer?
Four formulas for special medical purposes for infants from 0 to 12 months: AR (anti-reflux), AC (anti-colic), CF (comfort) and LF (lactose-free). They must be used under medical supervision.
Which formats are available?
All regular and special formulas are available in 350 g, 400 g, 800 g, 900 g and 1.2 kg sizes, with a maximum shelf life of 24 months. Formats are adapted to each market.
Quality and regulation
Which regulations do your formulas comply with?
Our formulas are developed in line with EU Regulation 2016/127, Codex Alimentarius and the GSO (Gulf) and SASO (Saudi Arabia) standards, and adapted to the legislation of each destination country.
Which certifications support your production?
ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and IFS Food, with ENAC-accredited controls, Halal certification, HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). See Manufacture & quality.
Are Pronuben Baby formulas Halal certified?
Yes. Pronuben Baby formulas are Halal certified.
How is quality controlled during production?
In four stages: raw material reception and control, industrial manufacturing, packing — where every can is checked by a metal detector, an air blower, an artificial-vision camera and an ultraviolet lamp, and filled in a protective atmosphere — and preparation and shipment with all export documents.
What is Pronuben Baby’s position on breastfeeding?
Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for infants. Our products are designed to be used when breastfeeding is not possible or insufficient, and infant formula should be used on the advice of a health professional.
